Videos from the Bush

First Ceremony!
We really wanted to give you a taste of the ceremonies but the problem was most of the time Paldino (he is the one you see in some of the photos with a video camera) would take our camera and did not really get the parts we wanted. But here are a couple.
Enjoy unless we have already bored you to death.

These two children brought us scissors on a plate so we could cut the string, which was some plant material, to let us into the pump station. They were so cute and notice how their feet get the rhythm.

These ladies were all so happy. I love how they just would keep going and going.  They are singing prayers and one man was so cute he got up and sang this one song to us all by himself. He was so crippled he could hardly stand. He is in the cute old man picture on the first post.

This little girl Dad  named Mary. HE and I both got pictures of her. She reminded us so much of Mary. Out of all the children we took pictures of she would not crack a smile even when she saw her own photo. This was not what the other kids did. The others would laugh and giggle and chatter about the photo. This young lady was not going to do that. She held that face NO Matter WHAT!

And if you saw this face out your window selling a bucket load of Mangos or anything wouldn't you stop to buy?  We could call him Willy.....SIlly Willy
These children are among the thousands you see walking or standing on the side of the road all up and down the country. At least half way up the country.

The one with the pity full look was smiling big till I took his photo.
I could not resist. Now what to do with all that mango.

These young men sold me pineapple farther up the road.  They were a hoot. The minute I told them I would take they picture they dropped their wares and made a goofy picture for me. Boys will be boys  everywhere you go.

The next two or three pictures are for Kurt and the other SL Real fans. This is Mapuoto's HUGE soccer field. They had a HUGE x games soccer tournament here this August I think. Before we got here.
It is a big deal here. IT is outside the city just a little ways. Notice how well they keep it up and the parking lot.

Tried to get the huge soccer sign board that is still all over the city.

This lady should have been at the top. She was cute and old and we got just a second of her and some off the noise. She just stood up and starte dancing this way. It was so cute.

  1. So nice to see...it is a lot like South Africa. They would sing whenever they got together and the clothes are very similar. And the smiles.
