WE KILLED THE 2 HEADED CROCODILE TODAY!

It Finally Happened!

TODAY!

Yes. After 1 1/2 years (you see Elder and sister Dow started setting up this project March 2011) of paperwork, stamps, signatures, more paperwork, more stamps, lost paper work, wrong papers, more stamps  and many long hours donated by a wonderful Lady,  a member here in Mozambique, we received the wheelchairs through customs to be able to give them to AJODEMO so they can be distributed to the most poor.

We will write more about it later but you need to know how Happy we are to be able to finally get these chairs to so many people who drag themselves across the city streets of Maputo to get around.
Elder Cussimbua carrying it the Right way.
You have to know there were many angels involved which helped us to bring them to these people.
First there was Cantol who has this great organization of AJODEMO for the disabled. HE will oversee the chairs being distributed and keep track of each one.
Then there is a translator named Naldo who was a big key in getting all of this work in place.

We have learned we cant get much done without him.

Then there is the wonderful Woman I mentioned who wore herself out going from office to office when we could not. Talking and working and chasing documents down..
she does not want her name mentioned but she is wonderful.

Elder Coussimbua

The other are these 6 Angles below who spent the afternoon
and evening emptying the entire 260 wheel chairs and walking devices.
There was an investigator angel who decided he wanted to come and help.
Investigator on the very right wanted to help.
There were about 6 men who passed by and when asked if they wanted  to help dropped their backpacks and came to help.
These are some of the men who stopped to help.

There was a group of girls who wanted to help carry the wheels which took many trips.
Group of girls would carry the wheels when needed.

They hung around all evening until the work was complete and some cute boys who helped as well.

Elders, Berg, Kelley, Adamson, GOMES, and Porter. Cussimbua is in helping Cantol.
But these Elders we could not have done without nor Sister Castanheira.
Eulalia Castanheira and Pres (Joao Carlos) and some of kids
Oh! Did I mention her name? Sorry Eulalia! But you are indeed an angel.
Elder Berg and Elder Wollenzien

The disabled poor in Maputo will be so blessed because of YOUR hard work.
Thank you to all and thank you for YOUR prayers in our behalf.
Like I said in the beginning of this...one of the best ways to help the Humanitarian efforts of the church is to Pray! Hard! Often!
Pray that these governments and people who neglect their poor will soften their hearts and make it easier to relieve the suffering of the many poor among us.

The End !  Thank Goodness.
